“Theinert’s series ‘Cut Outs’ is about that part of the image that we do not consider worthy of a photograph. Therefore, he collects postcards and looks for the point of view from which the picture was taken. He photographs the same image, but chooses a wider angle. He cuts out the part of the picture that represents the detail of the postcard. This hole reveals a view of reality that is no longer blocked by the substitute world of the photographic image.”
